It's been a while
Not much, but at the same time a lot has been going on. I keep thinking I need to update the blog, but just haven't had much time. JR has had surgery,we have been fixing things around the house,Christmas, JR's birthday and so on.... So, once I gather all the pictures I will post on the things going on around here. I would have had a great picture of JR going into surgery but....he got mad every time I brought the camera out and he would block all the pictures! But just remember JR you feel asleep once or twice LOL!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
As most of you know JR's birthday is on Christmas day. He is spoiled rotten! His parents got him a DS for his birthday. Of course I got him games for it and the Monopoly for his X-BOX 360. That boy has enough electronic gadgets/game things to entertain a herd of kids at a pre-school, but whatever :) It was nice of his parent to have us over for pizza, football and gifts. Still think the boy is way too spoiled! But, we love him!!
Ali is already wanting to play his games. The great thing about the DS is that since both the kids have them as well so they can all sit around and play each other. It gives me a break :) Thursday, December 18, 2008
Dinning Out 2008
For those of you that don't have Facebook.......
I will start with the party shirt. Without going into great detail, it is just a silly thing they do.
Here we are all dressed up and ready to go. Once we get there my heel breaks(after btw, I told my friend my shoe was good and it had not broke in over two years, I guess the wood I knocked on was fake!) and I have to compose myself while talking to one the spouses, once I get finished talking to her,I had to get JR's attention to help me! I walked on my tip-toes to an empty room so JR could fix my shoe. It was interesting to say the least. OH and it was like 90 degrees in the O'club so everyone was smelling their best :) We had a great time though and the speaker was very interesting. I didn't even break out my Scrabble on the phone, I was very proud of myself.

"The Dress"

For my girl readers, here is the new formal dress I bought yesterday. I was a mission and found this dress as soon as I got to the formal section at Dillard's! It was on SALE too. Under $50 and the accessories, I already had from being in Melissa's wedding a few years ago! I have really gotten a lot of use out of those shoes! I will post pictures Wednesday after the Dinning Out, of me and my hot date all dressed up.Now, I have 12 weeks to get down a dress size so I can wear one of the 6 formals I already have for the next Dinning Out! (BTW, a Dinning Out is a Military function for you non-military basically the guys get dressed up in their Dress Blues and the date is in there formal)
So what do you think?? It is gray and black. I think it makes me look tall :) I need that when JR is 12 feet tall and I am so short!

Playing out at G-Mama and G-Daddy's

"Having fun at the Grandparents"
Zac is always being silly. He is such a good sport about letting the girls dress him up to get a laugh. Zac is in the dress and Blane the oldest cousin, is next to him. My parents have a room over the garage that is FULL of toys and dress up stuff. You name it they have it up there. The kids spend hours playing.
Ali is on one of the "buggies" as we call it. My dad always makes sure those things are gassed up and ready to go. The kids drive all over the property in them. Some call it being lazy but when you were a kids I am sure you would have thought it was so cool to "drive" around in one of those. The boys I think have a little too much fun on them but boys will be boys!

Ali's Pie's

For Thanksgiving week the kids went the G-mama and G-daddy's for the week. Zac played outside hunting and building a fort with his cousins while Ali stayed inside where it was warm and baked with my mom. She made Pumpkin pies, they were SO GOOD!
She loves watching cooking shows and helping in the kitchen. Maybe one day she will become a Chef!
