This is the first year I forgot to take a picture of the kids going to school on their first day :( I guess they are just too grown up to take their picture holding their lunchbox and backpack on ready to go tackle that first day. I can hardly believe Zac is in the 6th grade and Ali in the 5th. Time flies and it is so sad. I feel like I was just dropping them off at Kindergarten in Nebraska.
This year Zac will be taking band rather than PE. He will be playing the percussion. I wonder if he is only taking band so he doesn't have to do PE?? Time will tell. .......

its been a while!
I know it has been forever since I have posted stuff. We have been pretty busy this summer. JR has been working non-stop and it is really getting to him. We are going on vacation next week to Orlando! We are super excited!! The military has great deals and we couldn't turn it down. We are going to Universal Studios and Sea World. For the 4th of July we went to Callaway Gardens and to Six Flags with some close friends. We had a blast. I learned that Zac loves roller-coaster and Ali isn't so sure about them , on one roller coaster I turn to her and she was white as a ghost yelling : I AM GOING TO DIE!!!!! I almost peed in my pants, I was laughing so hard! After that ride, she took it easy and hung out with JR.
I just celebrated my 31 birthday, I know I am getting old! JR got me an awesome mini-laptop and his parents got me spectacular Lime Green DS! Now I can play scrabble everywhere I go!! THANK YOU AGAIN!
School is almost back in session. We have a few weeks left and then it is back to the "real world" of getting up and gettin' goin' :) I am currently looking at going to College. I am waiting on paperwork and then I can get the process started. I want to get a degree to have to fall back on and to feel like I accomplished something. I am not really working right now. I am helping Helga with her book and I help Mrs.Clara out sometimes. My foot is really the source of me not being able to work. I hope the doctors can give me relief soon!
So, what's going on with everyone this summer?? Any vacations to speak of???

IT'S SUMMER!
The kids are out of school now and they are ready to sleep in and swim all day. I am ready to sleep in as well. Zac will be going to Camp Wiregrass at the end of June so that is exciting for him. Also, this summer he will be taking drum lessons. He will hopefully be joining the band for middle school. When we went to the band fair everyone kept talking to Ali asking her what she wanted to play and Ali would give them her crazy look and I would have to say she is not joining the band its Zac that is joining. They could not get over how old he looked for a 10 year old. Most of the teachers thought he was already in middle school. It was very funny,it made him feel good I think.
Before school was let out there was awards day. I took pictures but they turned out pretty bad, sorry. Zac received his "Diploma" and Ali received an award for A/B honor roll and an award for most hard working student (or something like that). Zac also got up in front of everyone and read scripture from the Bible. I was very proud of him for doing that!
Most of you know I just had another foot surgery. This surgery has me in bed for a while so I can heal. My last surgery did not take so this one the doctor said he is confident about. I am not liking this being in bed with my feet up thing. It is killing me. I feel like every part of my body hurts from just laying around. I am not a lazy person so this is rather hard for me. I will survive though. The kids are doing a great job helping me out when JR is at work. They are also doing a great job keeping the house clean. I think I would go out of my mind knowing the house was a mess and I couldn't do anything about it.
JR has pushed 4 classes so far at OTS. He will be pushing his 5th this summer and hopefully that will be it for him and he can move on to something new. JR will also be having PRK on his eyes at the end of this month. We will be heading to Mississippi for a full week for the surgery. It will be nice to get away from Montgomery but it will also suck in a way since he will be some what blind while we are there. The military is doing his surgery so pray they know what they are doing!
Now to our dogs....Violet is growing more and more everyday. When she stands on her hind legs she is as tall as Ali. She weighs about 45 pounds right now. We are still trying to potty train her but she like to just pee as she walks,no time to stop I guess. She will learn!! Zoey and Delilah are just as crazy as anything. I think they finally like their new sister. Pictures will come once I can walk again.
So hopefully that got you caught up with the Diboll family :) Now time for me to take some pain medicine and try to relax this foot.

Weekend get-a-way
Last weekend JR surprised me with a weekend away. He set the whole thing up. Abi, JR's sister took care of the kids. The kids had a blast. They went bowling and to the movies all in one day. For us we went to a AWESOME restaurant called Garrett's. The food was amazing. I even ate a meal without asking them to take out something...I know SHOCKING! I had the Braised Lamb, it just melted in my mouth. JR had fish, that I even tried. If you live in Montgomery you have to try this place out!!
On Saturday we went to the spa that was located in our hotel. It was very fancy, a great place for "the girls" to go for a day. JR and I were separated the whole time other than when we had our couples massage. Being separated kind of sucked since the whole purpose of us going there was to spend time together, but it was a nice time to say the least.
As I mentioned in my other blog, I had foot surgery on Monday so I am laid up in bed on the kids Spring Break. I hate that I had to have surgery on their Spring Break but it had to be done. I hope we can make it up to them this summer by going on a few vacations. We are planning to go to Abilene to see some friends and maybe down to Sea World then (crossing our fingers) going to Disney World. The military gets amazing deals at both places this year so hopefully we can take advantage of those deals. What a fun road trip that will be! I am getting excited already!!
So that is what has been going on here, how about you?

I'll take a COB hold the lettuce

Last weekend at my "Girls Weekend" Tiffany started talking about wanting a COB. Of course, us "city girls" had no idea what the heck she was talking about. Tiffany said we have to go get a COB in Union Springs. We got a little scared since Union Springs isn't known to be the safest place in Alabama, but we jumped in the truck and went on anyways. Tiffany had protection so that's all I cared about :) Anyways, we pull up to what use to be the "Chew and Chat" but has now upgraded to a "Churches Chicken". We pull up to order and Tiffany knew the lingo and everything, I about lost in. "I'll take 4 COB's 3 loaded 1 plain and a side of fried okra", came out of her mouth. I could barely breath I was laughing so hard. You had to be there to get the humor in it all but I wanted to share my COB experience with you all. Oh by the way, a COB is a Chicken on a bun. One bite and the grease just runs down the chin. The picture above does it no justice! Of course my COB was the plain one,if you know me that would be no surprise! The rest of the girls had some spicy sauce with lots of other nasty unimaginable things on it. So if you are ever in the great town on Union Springs stop in to the Chew-n-Chat and have yourself a COB!

JR'S NEW BABY
This is Violet. She is a full blood Rottweiler. A friend of mine had 7 of them and she was so nice to give me one to give to JR. JR has always wanted a big dog. Violet should be around 100-120 pounds full grown. She will be a true Diboll :) She got her name from wearing a purple collar and Kit( one of our good friends) thought we should name her Violet. JR liked that name so there you have it "Violet".We still have the other two dogs. Yesterday they started playing with Violet, I think they were waiting to see if she was a keeper or not! Our last dog was gone after 3 days. She was NOT a keeper. She ended up having puppies after we get rid of her....and they said she was fixed!! The VET needs to go back to school, I think!! Anyways so we are back to training another dog. Who would have ever thought we would have 3 dogs in my house! Scary, I know :)

Updates
Zac is still playing basketball every Saturday. They won their game last week against his cousin's team! He is getting better he just needs to learn to get open and those boys need to give the ball to him more. He is the tallest guy on the team so he is more of a rebound boy but still, I would like to see him with the ball more.
Ali is still suffering from headaches. I had her at the Neurologist Monday and the doctor diagnosed her with Migraines. She did not give us any medicines to help when she did get the migraines so that was REAL helpful! Ali got her new glasses yesterday too, so hopefully that will help a little with the headaches. Can you believe she is starting to HATE school! When she told me that I was shocked! That girl use to love going to school and she couldn't wait to do her school work when she got home. Now, its like pulling teeth to get her motivated to get her Math done. We put the kids in a Private school thinking she would just love school even more but lately that is not the case. She told me the kids at ACA are not nice and they laugh at people if they make a mistake and if they are different. I said," isn't that every kid and every school"? I did think that at ACA since its a Christian school it wouldn't be as bad but I guess I was WRONG! Those kids might be a little more spoiled but it doesn't mean they have to make other children's life hell at school. Please pray for her.
JR is working hard and about to be Promoted to Captain. We are very excited about this promotion. I have been working on hard to plan this event along with Kit and Melissa. They have been great about everything. They are willing to make the food and be there for this special time in our life. We are truly blessed to have them in our lives right now while we are stationed back here. JR is also preparing to start working on his SOS course on-line. For you non-military readers it is basically a course you have to take once you are a Captain.
Me,well I am basically working everyday and dealing with all of the above. I am doing the low carb diet right now. I find my body feels better when I do low carb. I have lost 10 pounds so far. You cant tell but the scales can :) My goal is to loose about 30 more by summer time. We want to do some traveling this Summer back to Texas to visit Jennifer,Justin and Emma and hopefully (keeping my fingers crossed) to Washington to visit Barb,Travis and the munchkins. Life will be busy this Summer but that's good! This coming weekend I am going on a Girls Weekend Trip to a friends property out in the country. It will be a time for me to relax and enjoy the company of some great girls :) I will post pictures...maybe!

Zac's first UPWARDS basketball game
#43 Super Sonics ZAC DIBOLLThis is Zac after his first basketball game. He is pretty tired. He played almost the whole game.
Zac scored 4 points this game. I think that is pretty good for his first time playing. They lost by 4 points but all in all it was a good game. The kid puking was the highlight, I think :)
At the beginning of the game they turn off the lights and have fog and lights going with some exciting music playing. It's a little silly but it gets the kids pumped up. Of course Zac is basically the tallest kid out there but I will tell you those short kids can run and shoot the ball. Zac still has hip problems but he said he was going to push through it. His hips have been a problem for three years now. He is growing faster than some parts of his body and it causes problems. I am proud he is still willing to play sports and fight through the pain.

It's been a while
Not much, but at the same time a lot has been going on. I keep thinking I need to update the blog, but just haven't had much time. JR has had surgery,we have been fixing things around the house,Christmas, JR's birthday and so on.... So, once I gather all the pictures I will post on the things going on around here. I would have had a great picture of JR going into surgery but....he got mad every time I brought the camera out and he would block all the pictures! But just remember JR you feel asleep once or twice LOL!
